2 Speed Transmission

Hi guys, first post here :)

I'm about to buy an E-Savage in the near future. (hopefully by weekend if I have the time to got to the lhs). Just curious about one thing.

Did you guys see the e-revo conversions? Have you guys heard them shifting gears? I really think they are cool and man do they work like a dream. Just wanna know, have anyone tried adding a 2 speed tranny to the e-savage?

2-speed may sound cool, but I'm not sure it would offer much improvement in performance in the E-Savage. I'm running the HV4.5 motor, with a single ratio it's got pretty well as much speed as I can use and way more torque than I can use, so I wouldn't know what to do with another ratio. Maybe would be interesting to shift into a higher gear for rediculous speed bursts.

If you really like the e-revo conversions why not go for one of those?

i agree with ian, although a 2speed transmission will help with runtimes... ESPECIALLY noticeable with brushed motors... very noticeable i must say...
not much of a deal with high-end bl stuff however...

2-speeds are good for 2-stroke's with a fairly narrow torque band electric cars cope fine without.
