Im taking a chance here, but how would the average seller, prefer a payment ? I for an example, dunno how to pay with paypal if u dont have that too.

in case a seller doesnt have a paypal account how to pay ? like ebay, i'd rather not promise too much, and then later figure out i dunno how to pay. what are normal payment methods for u guys on the forum ? i mean not us-us stuff, i mean overseas stuff ?

i have a rather stupid experience with transferring money to the nearest neighbour country, costed me like 18 dollars to do so..

Aero.... i just try to use pay pal as much as possible....its free! and there is a dedicated branch in Australia so if there is a problem your dealing with poeple locally!!!

If i am to use my credit card i only use with very large and trusted company's
like TOWER for example.......

Its all about limiting the number of places you use your card......

Failing the above options i will use a money order...

I have used bank transfer in the past but ONLY within the country and with shops that i can trust.......

Failing the above options i dont purchase from there its that simple......

Shop wisely or it will bite you in the bum at some point...

EDIT.......Paypal is an EBAY company so its the most used form of transfer on EBAY you just need an EBAY account.....

why can't you just send cash if you are honest you COULD do it, tho it's illegal ( i think) but people still do it

Whenever I sell on ebay I specifically put 'PAYPAL ONLY'. Too much of a hastle to get a paper check or money order. Who pays for my gas?

nah, thats not how i do it... (also in australia)

i used my dads visa card to setup the account. then i added my personal bank account...this only has limited money in it as i always spend it :D (and i also got a term deposit) this way, even if its hacked, i can only lose like 200. (more like 20 bucks :D) then i removed the credit card. so only bank deposit...safe.

i have paypal account and use it extensively. It is great for buying and selling. No hassels and it is quick and easy. I ahve two ccard listed but only one active at atime. For payments over sea it is really easy. only pay international exchange fee on ccard. so not too bothereed about that as it is really cheap.

I too use paypal, have done for a long time:)
Ilinked a visa debit card to mine, same a credit card in uses but has no credit on it only what you transfere over..
So when i purchase something i go to my bank and just transfere what i need over,so if they hack it,they only get the residue chump change left in the account;)

You must also remember with paypal....

That paypal withdraws from your card/account then pays the recipient...

So they only send what you authorize them to send....

So IF you do have any problems the dispute is between you and paypal...

So its very reliable in that respect...

I have used my account for a long time and not had an issue.....but it is still good practice to check ALL your related accounts often to detect any discrepancies as quickly as possible......

well, yeah actually ithink \u could be right but i myself have heard of alot of people having trouble with it, a solution would be not to link ur credit card to it and just to have a paypal balance, like, do you have to use a credit card>?

thanks
