The remaining parts arrived yesterday and I finished drilling the case and fitting the terminals this morning.

I am, quite frankly, shocked that it didn't go BANG! as soon as I switched it on. But here it is, apparently working. . .

And this is the spec of the PC PSU I used. .

Well pleased :D

LOL. . . yup :)

Now it's all working I'm sorting out some sticky-back magnetic strip to attach the GT Escape charger to the side of it and hunting for something to fabricate a couple of brackets so I can mount a fan on the top as a battery cooling tray.

Then I bet Kirsty will want it all painted a nicer colour.

Purple. . . probably ;)

Would like to get another GT Escape charger doodah but they are suprisingly expensive :(

The psu should handle 2. . . I think. . .

Oh. . .and I want more battery packs. But they are going to have to wait - unfortunately :(

hm...if you are talking about the stock charger, according to your power suplies spec, you could hop up 4 of those charger to your PSU since that charger normally does take more then 5amp, well...unless you are some super fasr charging time...

Do I need separate connections for a second charger or can I use piggyback 4mm connectors?

seperate heavy duty wiring will be better than piggy backing. Piggy backing will introduce volt drop = very bad

I'll stick with just 1 for now then. . ;)

it depends on how you wired it internally...
if oyu used every single yellow wire and most black wires then it woudl be fine to use 2 or more off a 4mm connector... (they can handle far more than 20A)

also as a tip get a hyperion charger :P then u can charge a few more cells at a time... and get a123 at the same time, 20 minute recharge, 20 minute run...

I did, indeed, use every yellow wire and an equal amount (6 I think) black.

I wanted a couple of black spare because there's some red in there too and I want to knock up a battery cooling tray on top of the unit.

Got the fan, just need some metal for a framework and some mesh (and I'm hoping to get enough to do finish off the fans in the E-Sav too) . .

Holy max'd out credit card Batman!! Just seen the price of them chargers!!
