:D Hi All! Just thought I'd share some info with you on some potential parts and a great site to mod your E-sav. Here's the link: http://home.comcast.net/~milemarkers/Products.htm
Copy and paste that into your browser. They have custom battery mounts, motors, esc's, and brushless setups. Give it a look, heck maybe even submit an idea for our trucks. :o
Wow that motor conversion kit for the e-sav looks great!! With the fitted 28t pinions and motor mount and all $100 isnt bad! That would probably be 45mph with 7 cells easily!

that motor is the pto3016...the one that costed 3.5$ at allelectronics.com before it run out of stock if you remember...
True, but ive never been able to find that motor online, and everything is already assembled with pinions and caps and all... just seems like an easy plug and play package.

Yah, very true.

Im not sure how that combo compares to say a feigao 8l with an equivalent esc, but thats double the price of the kershaw system. Still, you're right, brushless would be worth the extra money.

I am probably going to get the dual 700 motor conversion kit. I'd like to do something a little different than the brushless set ups that are so common. Plus I would like to support a PA business since I am in PA.

Don't get the "revolver" motors that come with the kit. Get the "revolver HO's" and the plate. I would just buy the mounting plate and find some other motors for less.
The "revolver HO's" may be Mabuchi N07092s like the ones I am experementing with. I know that Mabuchi doesn't sell to Kershaw, but they do sell to Fine Design in New York. That could be the link....
