The manual says do not run in sand, I was wondering what everybody thought about this. I know you can water/dust proof everything but I am just curious if it is really needed.
Go to video thread and see some video..i think Rcmh is the guys name..He runs it in sand or something very similar...and all looked OK!
He is got a flux... Watch this video from 3 Minutes on...

Sand may be an issue on a car with 48 or 64 pitch gears which can strip from grains jamming into the spur gear, but it's hardly going to trouble a Mod 1 set up with a hardened steel spur

I suppose you could make a guard to keep sand from spraying into the esc fan, but keep it flowing air....I wouldn't want sand in there...

glue a piece of foam to the top of the esc fan and wrap some foam around the ends of the motors so they can still breathe:cool:

I seen somebody use an Outerwaers pull start cover over the ESC, not a bad idea I think.
